About the EXECUTIVE INN GEM MINERAL & FOSSIL SHOW, Tuscon, Az
Dear Vendors:
There has been a lot of confusion concerning the Executive Inn Show and its future. The purpose of this letter is to present the facts. The Executive Inn property is owned by Scan Seminole, LLC. Scan Seminole is owned by Eric Neilsen and his son Carston Nielson; Danish gentlemen who purchased the hotel from Mr. Rampal Yadav's LLC, Intergalatic Properties.
When the hotel was sold, there was an agreement permitting Mr. Yadav to operate a show at the hotel upon certain agreed terms and conditions. In October of 2007 the Nielsens terminated that agreement for Mr. Yadav's failure to perform the conditions. Mr. Yadav then brought suit in Superior Court for an injunction, to force the Nielsens to host his show at the Nielsens' hotel for February of 2008 and beyond. The Court dismissed Mr. Yadav's case in Tucson on January 10, 2008.
This left all the prepaid returning dealers with no show to return to, since Mr. Yadav could not have a show at the hotel, and the Nielsen's had no obligation or intention to host a show there themselves. As a fellow Executive Inn vendor for many years, I was enlisted by several of the dealers (on two weeks notice) to manage a 2008 show. Show management was something I had never done before. A longtime Tucson Show promoter graciously offered me his support and advice.
Anticipating the loss of his lawsuit, Mr. Yadav rented a piece of unused vacant property directly across Drachman from the Executive Inn for a competing primarily outdoor "dirt" show which was of no interest to any of the returning Executive Inn indoor dealers. Mr. Yadav's web posting (at EIMFS.com) on January 15, 2008 offered returning dealers space in his show with no show fee additional to the $1,050.00 each returning dealer had paid Mr. Yadav during the 2007 show for 2008 hotel space; and offered to refund their show fees to dealers who found the Yadav show unacceptable. All the returning inside dealers chose to remain inside at the Executive inn for 2008; and only one of those dealers (Jack Daggett) was refunded his 2008 show fee by Mr. Yadav. All the others were refused either a full or partial refund.
Almost all of the 2008 Executive Inn dealers have now contracted for 2009 show space inside the hotel. Many of the dealers who left during Mr. Yadav's two years as show manager have signed for 1009 as well. several more who have never been Executive Inn dealers in the past have contracted for 2009. The ballroom and dining room are now completely booked. Some room space is still available, but may not be for long. Inquires are coming in regularly.
Be assured that there will indeed by a 2009 Executive Inn show at the hotel; managed by myself and not Mr. Yadav or anyone associated with Intergalactic Properties. Any contrary suggestions on the internet or otherwise would be false.
My future plans for the Executive Inn Show are outlined by our website banner page, which is the first thing you will see there. I will be pleased to respond to any inquires you may have. My email address is below.
We had an outstanding show, despite the financial and other challenges in 2008. There will be an even better show without the challenges in 2009 and beyond.
If you haven't joined us already. please consider doing so while there is availability. I will personally see to it that you're satisfied.
